The Alpharetta gusto! will be the restaurant’s seventh in the greater metro Atlanta area, and is slated to debut in late-summer 2020.

It replaces Shaun Doty’s King Barbecue (which replaced Bantam + Biddy) in a corner space, at 4195 Avalon Boulevard.

“We’re fired up to plant a gusto! flag in one of the most impressive shopping centers in the country,” Hybl said Wednesday in a prepared statement.

“Being Atlanta-born, it’s exciting to align ourselves with best-in-class brands like Anthropologie, lululemon, and Apple as we continue to broaden our identity.”

Gusto! will be partnering with global architect Gensler and local designer Lindsay Denman to redesign the guest experience.

“We believe in thoughtfully investing in design which aligns well with the beauty of Avalon,” Hybl said.

“Our first move is always to get as much sunlight in our spaces as possible, so we’ll be re-imagining the storefronts and corner patio.”

The interior design will incorporate a “bold use” of concrete, painted brick, natural wood, colorful art, and live plants.

Gusto! offers bowls with either mixed greens, jasmine brown rice, or a combination of both, or flatbread wraps, topped with a grilled protein (chicken, shrimp, portabella mushroom, or salmon) and finished with a signature “gusto” flavor like Sweet Soy Sriracha and Tahini Cucumber Feta.

An outpost recently opened in Chamblee and is coming soon to Chastain Park.
