ECHO Suites, a new extended-stay hotel from Wyndham, is planned for a site near the corner of Iris Drive and Salem Gate Way, according to construction plans. The four-story hotel is slated to include 124 rooms, along with at least 124 parking spaces. The documents indicate plans for a fitness center and a guest laundry room, to be located on the first floor.

The owner/developer is Wills Capital Partners. The area for the proposed hotel is currently a “mostly cleared site with some woods.”

According to Wyndham, the all-new-construction ECHO Suites is “the fastest growing brand in Wyndham’s development pipeline.” They have 268 hotels in the pipeline, with several expected to open as early as this summer. They are targeting 300 hotels over the next 10 years.

It’s a “a new hotel intentionally created to help you settle in, whether you’re here for work, a family visit, or an unexpected stay.” The average room size is 318 square feet, with kitchens that include cooktops and full-size refrigerators, as well as smart TVs and free WiFi. Single suites (featuring one queen bed) and double suites (with two queen beds) will be available.

The brand broke ground on its first three hotels in late 2022. Wyndham announced plans for 60 new ECHO Suites hotels last summer.

With about 9,200 hotels across nearly 100 countries, Wyndham is the world’s largest hotel franchising company based on number of properties.
