The restaurant from Marietta-based franchise group Peachtree Restaurant Partners will be located at 5783 Old Winder Hwy. Rise Property Group represented the group in securing the 4,300-square-foot space that was formerly occupied by Sopranos Grill.

The restaurant is expected to open by the end of May 2024.

Founded in 1999, Peachtree Restaurant Partners operates restaurants, retail stores and hotels in several states. In addition to IHOP, their brand portfolio includes Popeyes, American Freight, Speed Queen Laundry and Country Inn & Suites by Radisson.

The group also has an IHOP coming to Acworth at 1129 Hwy 92, formerly Shoney’s. The location is expected to open the first week of February.

IHOP’s first restaurant opened in California in 1958. Now, the brand has approximately 1,800 locations around the world. In addition to the signature pancakes, the menu includes other made-to-order breakfast items like omelettes, waffles, crepes and French toast, as well as burgers, sandwiches, salads and more.

[Editor’s Note: This story has been updated with information about a new IHOP also coming soon to Acworth.]
