The dog park will feature an indoor restaurant (for humans), a pet-friendly outdoor patio and an adjacent partially covered private dog park.

Off Leash Decatur will be located within walking distance of Decatur Square at 240 East Trinity Place. Construction is set to begin this spring.

“It was important to us to bring Off Leash into the city, and when we saw the property at 240 East Trinity Place, we knew it was the perfect spot for our second location,” Off Leash co-founder Wendy Newman told What Now Atlanta via email. “Decatur has done such an amazing job cultivating a strong, close-knit community and we want to be a part of that.”

The restaurant will aim to offer a casual yet elevated dining experience, with a chef-inspired menu covering everything from breakfast to dinner. Think salads, burgers, sandwiches, dips for sharing, and more. Dogs can get in on the fun too with nutritious treats. The bar will serve a wide selection of cocktails and beers, from local IPAs to crisp chardonnays and specialty cocktails.

The partially covered private dog park will provide space for year-round play. Professionally trained “dogtenders” will be on hand to help supervise dogs and ensure a clean, safe and fun experience for everyone.

This will be the second location of Off Leash, with the first location set to debut this summer in Alpharetta.

“Both locations will offer a fenced and well-maintained turfed dog park as well as an indoor and outdoor full-service dining experience,” Newman said. “In Alpharetta, a portion of the dog park will be indoors, allowing for the park to remain open no matter the weather. Our Decatur location will be situated on a smaller lot, so instead of a fully indoor dog park, we will offer a covered portion of the park equipped with fans and heaters to keep everyone comfortable year-round.”
