The company, owned by Justin Amick and William Stallworth, is known for nationally acclaimed concepts The Painted Pin and The Painted Duck.

Painted Pickle, a pickleball “compeatery” and gaming and entertainment venue, is located in an industrial indoor/outdoor warehouse at 279 Ottley Drive at Armour Yards (known as “The Armour Ottley Loop”). The venue will offer an expansive front and rear patio directly adjacent to the new Northeast segment of the Atlanta BeltLine.

“In short, a compeatery is a place to compete, eat, drink and be social,” Amick said in a news release. “We were successful in bringing a fresh perspective to boutique bowling with The Painted Pin and re-introducing duckpin bowling to the mainstream with The Painted Duck. Now, we look forward to putting our stamp on pickleball – the fastest growing sport in the nation – with Painted Pickle.”

The menu, created by Painted Hospitality’s Executive Chef Thomas Collins, will include shareable small plates, salads, bowls, sushi rolls, charcuterie and cheese boards, as well as sandwiches such as paninis, open-faced tartine and traditional handhelds. Additional brunch options will be offered on the weekends.

The bar program includes Beverage Director Julian Goglia, Amick, and Director of Operations Robert Nonemaker, curating the cocktail, wine and beer lists respectively.

The 32,500-square-foot space will house an indoor pickleball courtyard with eight boutique individually contained courts with permanent nets, a cottage clubhouse, an elevated central seating area overlooking center court, and one signature outdoor court.

Ivan Vizcaya will be Painted Pickle’s athletic director. Vizcaya is a former member of the University of Georgia tennis team and a certified PPR pickleball instructor.

In addition to the pickleball programming, Painted Pickle will also have a stage for live music and other competitive pub games and social amenities, including an indoor putting green and gaming lawn, pingpong, bucketball, subsoccer tables, cornhole, table shuffleboard, darts, strategy and board games, and beach and lawn games.
