Bantam + Biddy Replacement King Barbecue is Out at Avalon

The barbecue restaurant could open elsewhere in 2019.

UPDATE (January 4, 2019): King Barbecue Is Moving Its Recently-Shuttered Avalon Eatery to Buckhead

King Barbecue, the restaurant that replaced Bantam + Biddy in Avalon by the same owners, has closed.

Its last day, at 4195 Avalon Boulevard, was Monday.

The news was announced on the King Barbecue Facebook page.

“A huge thank you to all our staff, friends, families and local supporters,” according to the social media post.

“While it has been incredible, today will be our final day of service at our Avalon location.”

King Barbecue could open elsewhere next year.

“We will now be switching our focus to opening a new set of doors in early 2019…”

Shaun Doty, one of the restaurant’s co-owners, did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment Friday.

No word on what will open in the barbecue joint’s place.
