Chefs Shaun Doty and Lance Gummere are refitting another Bantam + Biddy into a new concept.

Avalon’s location of the casual Southern chicken joint in late March, early April will be transformed into King Barbecue, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution (AJC) Tuesday exclusively reported.

Earlier this year Bantam + Biddy in Lenox Square Mall became ATL Taco and in late-2016 the Midtown outpost on Crescent Avenue was transformed into The Federal.

The lone remaining Bantam + Biddy in Ansley Mall will stay as is, Doty in late-2017 told What Now Atlanta.

For King Barbecue, Doty and Gummere are partnering with Carey Wise (Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, Grand Champion BBQ) to serve as managing partner and pit master, according to the AJC.

On the menu expect influences from the three restauranteurs. For example, the restaurant will serve Wise’s smoked meats paired with Doty’s biscuits.
