One of the tenants is a yet-to-be-named Mexican street food concept from the team behind Zocalo in Midtown, twin brother-and-sister duo Luis and Lucero Martinez-Obregon. They also own and operate Taqueria La Luz at Chattahoochee Food Works.

The new concept at Halidom Eatery will offer the popular Sangria Swirl Margarita, and various Aguas Frescas in addition to a full menu of hand-crafted food items curated by Chef Lucero.

“The freedom to cook indigenous recipes from Mexico City not far from my East Atlanta neighborhood is what I am most passionate about!” Chef Lucero said in a news release about the new concept.

Luis Martinez-Obregon told What Now Atlanta the menu will have some of what people have come to know and enjoy from the other concepts, with new additions.

Halidom Eatery is a food hall slated to open this spring in East Atlanta. In addition to 11 food stalls, it will also include a 30-seat upscale bar, an event area and an outdoor green space. There will be indoor seating for 320 guests and outdoor seating for 123 guests.

Located at the IST Management headquarters’ base, the eatery is the inaugural phase of a mixed-use domain, Halidom, which will also have residential and retail space.

IST Management Services President and CEO Hal Blackman spoke with What Now Atlanta last fall about the vision for Halidom Eatery.

“I wanted to develop something that was special, that was based on bringing something to the community that was different, something that was peaceful, a place for people to get along,” Blackman said at the time.

Other concepts recently announced for the food hall include Press Waffle Co., Mad Dads Philly’s, Mango Indian Grill and Locale Island Eats.
