Zaxby’s in West Midtown Center is now open for business.
Monday, September 17 was the fast-casual chicken joint’s first day in business, a company spokesperson in an email Thursday confirmed with What Now Atlanta.
Situated at 1299 Northside Drive NW “by the Georgia Tech Campus,” the new location is the seventh for Licensee Joey Clanton.
“Zaxby’s got its start in a college town, and since then, the brand has experienced tremendous success,” Clanton said in a prepared statement.
“While Atlanta is no stranger to the brand, we believe the Georgia Tech community, in particular, will embrace this new Zaxby’s.”
Operating hours are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. in-store, with extended, drive-thru hours until 10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
As of this writing, the brand has grown to nearly 900 locations in 17 states and is headquartered in Athens, Georgia.
Zaxby’s is the third restaurant to open at Fuqua’s West Midtown Center this month.
McAlister’s Deli debuted its new prototype at the development Monday.
Blaze Pizza gave away free pies all day Friday in conjunction with its grand opening a week ago.
