The restaurant serves sandwiches, salads, baked potatoes, and sweet tea.
McAlister’s West Midtown is the brand’s first restaurant to feature new design elements with a focus on community and guest convenience, including an open look and feel, outfitted with a community table and community-themed mural.
Upon arrival, guests will see a hand-painted welcome sign by local artist Chris Wright.
In-restaurant décor also features a community photo wall that “honors those who keep our community strong,” according to a press release Friday.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at 9:30 a.m. Monday ahead of a performance by the Georgia Tech band at 10 a.m.
Doors officially opened at 10:30 a.m.
Promotions throughout the grand opening include student discounts, giveaways, and opportunities for free delivery.
“We couldn’t be more excited to show off our new prototype to our local community and provide a meaningful space for our guests to spend time together,” Joe Guith, president of McAlister’s, said in the release.
“Our restaurants are more than a place to eat. They are community gathering places. We are also proud to offer options that make McAlister’s accessible – including easy, on-the-go order pickup, app-based ordering and third-party delivery.”
McAlister’s West Midtown is open daily 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
