A third Atlanta location of The Salty will be opening in West Midtown on Feb. 23, 2024.
The menu will feature signature favorites (like Brown Butter & Salt and White Chocolate & Chai), seasonal offerings (including the Honey Butter Cinna-Bun Donut and the gluten-free Blueberry Crumb Cake Donut), and store-specific flavors and items inspired by the neighborhood. The Salty also serves coffee beverages and other baked goods like cookies and turnovers.
The new West Midtown location at 1050 Howell Mill Road will kick off with a collaboration with Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, offering a specialty item only available during opening weekend: a mac and cheese kolache, a 24-hour brioche stuffed with pulled pork, cheddar mac and cheese and barbecue sauce.
“As soon as The Salty opened their first shop in Atlanta, we knew that we wanted to partner with their team,” Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q co-owner Jonathan Fox said. “It’s been great to see their collaborations with other pitmasters at their stores in North Carolina and Texas, and we know that Atlanta kolache fans are going to love the flavor combination on this special debut.”

Each of our stores has its own unique personality, and this one is no exception,” The Salty CEO and co-founder Andy Rodriguez said. “Opening with a collaboration kolache with the iconic Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q is going to add such a fun and unique spin to our opening weekend. You don’t want to miss it!”
The Salty will also be hosting a pre-opening lotto to give customers the chance to get a taste before the shop opens to the public. To enter the lotto, customers must follow @thesaltydonut on Instagram, like the respective post and fill out this online form. Forty random winners will be able to head to the store on Feb. 18, 2024, and pick up a special box that includes several of The Salty’s signature donuts, along with the Fox Bros Bar-B-Q mac and cheese kolache.
The Salty in West Midtown will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday to Thursday and 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. The shop will offer walk-up orders as well as pre-order pickup and delivery through The Salty’s rewards app and website.
