Andy Rodriguez, CEO and Co-Founder of The Salty, has elevated the donut experience and plans to open its third Atlanta location.

As previously reported by What Now Atlanta, The Salty will open its first Atlanta location in Buckhead on May 26 and a second location in Krog District. The third location will be West Midtown at Star Metals, 1050 Howell Mill Road #101, Atlanta, GA, 30318.

Rodriguez wanted to create a unique experience for coffee and donut lovers. Opening its first location in December 2015, The Salty quickly expanded.

“As we saw the road map to growing the business, we felt that our core in terms of markets that we love and spend time in were the Southeast and Southwest – Georgia, Florida, and then Texas. And as we toured all of these markets and got to know them, Atlanta was a no-brainer,” Rodriguez described.

“It has such a diverse community, with so much going on, and it’s a massive city. So really felt like it was a lot of opportunity there,” he continued.

And with that perspective comes the plan for three stores in the Atlanta area. The soon-to-open Buckhead shop is uniquely designed to connect with the community by drawing inspiration from the surrounding neighborhood and the city’s history to include local influences and motifs.

Rodriguez noted that the Buckhead store will be its flagship location.

Plans for the Krog District location are about 85% complete and are scheduled to be completed sometime this summer, Rodriguez told What Now Atlanta.

The West Midtown location is scheduled to begin construction in a couple of weeks, with hopes to open before the close of 2023, barring any construction delays.
