The fast-casual taco chain will be opening at the Newnan Promenade shopping center, according to leasing information. The 2,500-square-foot space has been vacant since May 2022.

What Now Atlanta reported last year that the brand would be bringing three corporate-owned locations to Georgia. The first two, in Peachtree Corners and Johns Creek, are open now.

“We’ve had folks visiting from Atlanta for years, asking time and again when they can expect the concept to expand close to them,” co-founder Josh Luger told What Now Atlanta at the time.

Capital Tacos had previously attempted to enter the Atlanta market via a partnership with CloudKitchens, a delivery-focused virtual restaurant company.

Capital Tacos first opened in Florida in 2013. The menu for the nationally recognized Tex-Mex restaurant includes a variety of tacos (among them: Cauliflower Dreamin, South Beach Hot Chicken and Chapel’s Cheesesteak), as well as quesadillas, nachos and fries.
