Vietnamese eatery Mama’s Banh Mi at the end of July 2022 debuted its first of several Atlanta-area locations, Owner Ken Dang tells What Now Atlanta. Situated in Doraville, at 5382 Buford Hwy NE, Banh Mi specializes in its namesake, a sandwich made with baguette — like mom used to make.

“[We’re] truly honored to receive the support, encouragement, feedback and love the Vietnamese community in Atlanta has given us,” Dang said.
Mama’s Banh Mi offers its sandwiches in a variety of options including chicken, beef, pork, and tofu, with the least expensive sandwich costing $5.47 and $6.47 at the high-end. The restaurant also offers coffee beverages.
Mama’s Banh Mi will open its next location in Kennesaw in fall 2022, followed by an outpost in Duluth in winter 2022. In spring 2023, an outpost in Snellville will sprout, and Dang plans to expand the business through franchises.
“We are offering passionate entrepreneurs the opportunity to open one or more Mama’s Banh Mi using Mama’s valuable intellectual property including our brand, proprietary recipes, and unique processes,” Dang writes on the company’s website. “Our franchise model recommends, but does not dictate, the way you run your business except as it relates maximizing your workflow and protecting the Mama’s brand, recipes and quality of our menu…”
Dang did not immediately supply the addresses of the incoming locations or specify whether or not they would be franchise or corporate-owned.
