The Vietnamese restaurant, Vietvana, will be opening two new locations in the Atlanta area soon, according to the restaurant’s website. One will be in Roswell on 1037 Alpharetta Street and the other will be one of many joining the West End’s Lee + White Food Hall, which spans 929 Lee Street SW to 1070 White Street SW, slated to open in June.

Owners Dinh and Khanh Tran did not immediately return a request for comment.
The venerated Vietnamese restaurant has three other operations in Ponce City Market, Avondale Estates and Midtown. The Midtown location is franchise-owned and it is unclear at press time if the new locations will be or not. The new Lee + White Food Hall is billed as “an intentional mix of local and international concepts” paying homage to Atlanta’s cultural melting pot.
“Patrons will be able to enjoy everything from a slice of pizza, street tacos or a bowl of pho to sweet treats like mochi donuts and gelato while also visiting the breweries and unique retailers,” says Leo Wiener, president of Ackerman Retail, which owns the Lee + White Food Hall.
Dinh and Khanh Tran are both Vietnamese-immigrants who met as young adults in the United States. When the then-married couple found themselves yearning for but unable to find authentic cuisine abroad, they set out on a mission to bring the bona fide flavors of the busy Saigon streets to Atlanta.
“I tried all the local restaurants and none resembled the food I had in Vietnam,” Khanh shared in a post on the restaurant’s Instagram page. “I could only satisfy my Vietnamese food cravings when I came back to visit my family in Vietnam once a year.”
Sourcing ingredients from local farms and making its dishes daily from scratch for optimal freshness, the revered restaurant is known for its build-your-own pho soup and bahn mi sandwiches in addition to its appetizers, milk teas, special coffee blends and pastries.
“To us, true pho is more than a recipe to follow,” they say on their website. “It’s an homage to our heritage, culture, and home. From the way we make our rice noodles to the process of creating authentic Vietnamese delicacies, our passion is fueled by our love of food.”
