It will be one of over a dozen restaurants currently slated to join the mixed-use food hall opening this summer. The Birmingham-born franchise will serve its specialty Neapolitan-style thin crust pizzas with traditional toppings like pepperoni and sausage, as well as gourmet toppings like short rib with caramelized onions and crawfish. It will also offer salads, customizable pizzas and a James Beard nominated craft beer, Harlem Hops.

Dough Boy Pizza was founded by chef Erica Barrett who is a Clark Atlanta University alum. The foursome franchise owners of the West End location are also all alums of the historically Black university, and so are the founders of Harlem Hops.

“We keep it in the family,” one of the West End franchise owners tells What Now Atlanta.

The new Lee + White Food Hall is billed as “an intentional mix of local and international concepts” paying homage to Atlanta’s cultural melting pot.

“Patrons will be able to enjoy everything from a slice of pizza, street tacos or a bowl of pho to sweet treats like mochi donuts and gelato while also visiting the breweries and unique retailers,” says Leo Wiener, president of Ackerman Retail, which owns the Lee + White Food Hall.
