“After months of delays with permitting and then construction beginning the week the country locked down, we were set back way longer than we expected,” Burdick said. “But, we are excited to get open in the Signature apartment complex on Marietta St. across from GA Tech and become a sandwich staple in the City of Atlanta!”

Burdick and Partner Justin Beatty, whose resume includes Fifth Group beverage manager, are hiring for the incoming restaurant. Cheba Hut is hosting open, in-person interviews from Wednesday, August 19 through Friday, August 21, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the restaurant.

“If you are stuck at a job with no room for growth, or simply want something fresh where you can be yourself, make some tasty grub, and listen to some sweet jams, take advantage of this opportunity and come have some fun with us,” a hiring advert explains. “Both part-time and full-time positions are available with the opportunity for growth!”

Cheba Hut’s opening in Atlanta has been a long time in the making. A March 2019 debut was originally in the cards, Burdick told WNA at the time.

While the other two planned Cheba Hut locations have not yet been revealed, the duo indicated Athens was on the table, and then back in Atlanta for its third.
