The first of 60 planned locations opened in Snellville Feb. 15, at 1895 Scenic Highway, in the Presidential Markets Shopping Center, according to a press release.

The quick service Mexican restaurant is implementing a new restaurant design with a “contemporary color palette, interesting architectural elements, revamped interior and a salsa bar,” at its planned locations.

“For years, our fans have been asking us to return and we’re very excited to bring Del Taco back to Atlanta,” Paul Murphy, the CEO of Del Taco, said in the release.

“We have a legacy of well-established value. With our new look, we maintain our value heritage while adding emphasis to the quality, freshness and great care we put into our food preparation every day in all of our Del Taco restaurants.”

Lake Forest Calif.-based chain is set to open its second location in Kennesaw this April. Del Taco has more than 530 restaurants in 17 states.
