According to a post by the Boston Business Journal, CEO John Haggai has his eyes set on expanding to the Atlanta area in 2024. Haggai and the Burtons Grill & Bar team did not immediately respond to What Now Atlanta’s request for comment.

“We’re planning to go into Atlanta with Burtons next year. But some of our busiest locations still remain in the Boston area, so I think there are pockets where we can go in without cannibalizing our restaurants,” Haggai explained. “We have a big fan base there. And we’re not going to shy away from trying to find locations that make sense. We’re also not in a hurry, either.”

While Haggai admits there is no specific timeline or rushes for the new space, a specific location or area in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area has not been identified. However, future diners can expect the same type of dining experience as the other Burtons locations.

Burtons Grill & Bar offers New England-inspired dishes, with fresh meat and vegetables and craft cocktails.

The restaurant also prides itself on having an array of menu options for those who follow gluten-free and celiac diets.

In addition to the Boston-area location, Burtons Grill & Bar also has a presence in Connecticut, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida – making the proposed Georgia location would be the furthest Southern restaurant in the Burtons portfolio.
