The Mexican restaurant will be occupying the space formerly occupied by Farm Burger. This will be the sixth location in metro Atlanta for Rreal Tacos.

Steve Josovitz of The Shumacher Group facilitated the deal. Several years remain on the lease, according to The Shumacher Group. The 2,800-square-foot space includes seating for 55 and a patio that seats 25.

Rreal Tacos owners Damian Otero and Miguel Hernandez are the only restaurateurs to open four restaurants in Atlanta in the last 12 months, according to a press release.

Rreal Tacos strives to recreate the unique characteristics of tacos from various regions of Mexico such as asada from northeastern Monterrey, birria barbacoa from Guadalajara or taco al pastor, one of Mexico City’s signature tacos. The menu also includes stuffed quesadillas, slow-cooked pork carnitas, desserts like platano macho (sweet plantain with cream and brown sugar) and smoky mezcal cocktails.

They are also introducing a taco platter so diners can try a variety of tacos, Otero told What Now Atlanta.

The changes being made to the Buckhead space through their in-house construction team are mostly cosmetic, and Otero hopes they will be open in January.

“We don’t have to do structural changes, so it speeds up the process,” he said.

Rreal Tacos can also be found in Midtown, West Midtown, Chamblee, Sandy Springs and Cumming, with plans to expand into Decatur, Lawrenceville and Sugar Hill.

The debt-free, investor-free business offers a program where top-level performing employees have an opportunity to own equity in new locations.

“We will continue to change the game on restaurant ownership and make sure the hard-working people in the kitchen and bars continue to grow with us,” Otero told What Now Atlanta.
