Owner Helio Bernal’s D Boca N Boca is the permanent location of his food truck The Real Mexican Vittles. Bernal and his team will serve authentic Mexican fare along with a full bar. D Boca N Boca’s menu is comprised of traditional Mexican dishes based on Bernal’s family recipes that he has “perfected over the years.”

“The best of Mexico is represented as dishes from the Gulf regions of Veracruz and Yucatán mingle with the flavors of Mexico City,” according to the release. Seafood dishes such as ceviche and aguachile from the Pacific Coast areas of Monterey and Sinaloa also are on the menu.

A full bar is stocked with a combination of local and Mexican beers, as well as small-batch liquors, especially tequilas and mezcals. Margaritas and cocktails with made-in-house infusions accompany the traditional Mexican fare. Dinner service is from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday for the first month of service.

D Boca N Boca joins a host of other food and beverage concepts in Carter’s Summerhill development including How Crispy, Maepole, Junior’s Pizza, Wood’s Chapel BBQ, Little Tart Bakery, Big Softie, and Halfway Crooks Beer. Other establishments expected to open by the end of 2022 are a restaurant by chef Duane Nutter, Redacted, and Press Start. Parking in Summerhill is available in the free retail lots and on-street.

Editor’s note: shortly after publication, a spokesperson told What Now Atlanta the opening has been pushed to June 8. This article has been updated accordingly.

  1. Don’t be surprised if you show up and no one is there. This restaurant legitimately had at least two other grand opening dates – never to open. Over it

    1. Juju, you’re right. Shortly after publication, the restaurant changed the opening date to *Wednesday* June 8. Our coverage has been updated accordingly, but we’ll keep you posted.

      1. Any updates on opening? I have been waiting for years since I first heard RMV was opening a brick and mortar.
