The team is planning Wood’s Chapel BBQ on Georgia Avenue in the Summerhill neighborhood of Atlanta, according to Eater Atlanta.
While the group did not immediately return What Now Atlanta’s request for comment, a website for the restaurant has been parked on GoDaddy.
The 5200-square-foot Wood’s Chapel BBQ, at 85 Georgia Avenue SE, is expected to open in late 2018.
On the menu will be barbecue plates and sandwiches like “fried, smoked catfish, a barbecue-inspired Cuban sandwich, brisket grilled cheese, and lamb belly cemita or torta,” Ben Johnson told Eater.
TGM Bread will supply the bread for the concept and desserts from Ben Johnson’s family will also be served.
