“Like so many small and local businesses, this decision is difficult yet necessary, especially given the immunocompromised nature of our some of our team members,” the company said in a prepared statement.

“We urge the public to continue support of the businesses they love if they have the means to do so. CACAO employees will maintain their jobs while moving into a new ‘work from home’ model with hours servicing orders, deliveries, and pickups.”

CACAO items will be available for shipping or pick up online and CACAO Café will open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday to facilitate the pick-up of pre-orders made via phone, text, email, or online.

Deliveries will be made for a $15 charge within the city of Atlanta and facilitated by members of the CACAO team.

Gift cards are also available for future use online.

Details on how to order will be made via social media channels and the CACAO website.

“The road is difficult and uncertain, but we will do everything we can to ensure the future of CACAO and everyone who makes this company what it is.”
