The location at 887 Buford Dirve is owned and operated by OC Hospitality, Inc., a subsidiary of Faulkner-Smith Restaurant Group.

The new 2,900-square-foot restaurant can accommodate up to 56 guests inside. Constructed by Monroe-based Smith & Co. Inc., it features Zaxby’s classic white farmhouse exterior design. The restaurant is equipped with a double drive-thru to provide fast to-go service.

Customers may also order ahead online, as well as through the Zaxby’s app. Ordering delivery is available directly through the Zaxby’s app, as well as through UberEats, DoorDash, Grubhub and EZ Cater.

“As Faulkner-Smith Restaurant Group begins to transition to the second generation, we are looking forward to continuing our company growth with our fifth location in Gwinnett County and 10th location overall in the surrounding four counties,” said Faulkner-Smith Restaurant Group CEO Sam Smith. “We opened our first Zaxby’s here 22 years ago and can’t say enough how loyal the residents have been to our small business.”

The new location will provide about 50 new employment opportunities, including four management roles and two shift leader positions, according to a news release.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Zaxby’s has more than 950 locations in 17 states. The menu includes chicken fingers and wings tossed in a variety of sauces. Sandwiches, fries and salads are also available, as well as the fan-favorite fried pickles.
