Atlanta native and Restaurateur Carson Young is bringing Yumbii, Atlanta’s “first” food truck turned taco shop, and The Queso Shop, a takeout taco, and queso concept, to Moores Mill Center, at 2275 Marietta Blvd NW, according to a press release.

Set to open in late 2021, the neighboring sister restaurants will be open daily for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and will offer pickup and delivery.

At the new Yumbii, guests can expect the same core menu items served at the Brookwood Hills and Toco Hills locations, like Yumbii Tacos, Yumbii Wings, and Famous Sesame Fries, plus health-forward items like build-your-own Salad Bowls.

The beverage program will focus on beer, wine, and tequila, including housemade margaritas. Guests will be able to place orders at a counter before finding a seat in the dining room, at the bar, or on the patio.

Next door, The Queso Shop will feature a self-service ordering kiosk, deemed a “Taco ATM,” with a walk-up window to pick up fresh tacos, plus favorites like queso, guac and housemade pico, quesadillas, salad, sides like Mexican Corn and Charro Beans, handmade churros and more.

A Mexican Rotisserie Chicken Family Meal will be available daily after 4 p.m., while supplies last, to serve groups of three to four featuring a whole Mexican-spiced Rotisserie Chicken served with flour tortillas, choice of two sides, salsa verde, chips & queso.

Designed by Lindsay Denman, both concepts will have a “West Coast-cool aesthetic.” Yumbii’s dining room will feature custom locally-made banquettes, German Beechwood countertops, blue and white tile, rattan pendants, black and white striped flooring, and peach accents.

At The Queso Shop, a California-inspired vibe will feature a bright color scheme with hot pink and neon accents. Front and side patios will welcome guests from both concepts to enjoy their meal outside alongside a mural, under string lights.

The Moores Mill locations mark Yumbii’s third brick-and-mortar outpost and The Queso Shop’s second. The brand’s well-known and brightly-painted food trucks will continue to pop up all over the city, offering Yumbii and The Queso Shop on the go.
