Westside Paper, the 15-plus acre mixed-use facility at 950 West Marietta St., has announced four restaurants as new tenants who will inhabit the adapted 1950s industrial campus and new construction facility when it opens next year.
“Having great restaurants sets the tone for Westside Paper and the environment we are creating,” Chris Faussemagne, partner at Third & Urban, said in a press release. “With all of Third & Urban’s projects, we understand the importance of building retail destinations with local operators who value community at both the project and also for the surrounding neighborhood.”
Chef Richard Tang, owner of Char Korean Bar & Grill, will open a second location for Girl Diver, his Chinese-Vietnamese seafood/comfort food concept, at Westside Paper. This location of Girl Diver will seat 99 and have a second-floor veranda, as well as two separate bars and two patios with seating. It is expected to open in the summer of 2022.
“I love the area, and I’ve loved West Midtown forever,” Tang told What Now Atlanta. “I’ve been a huge fan of West Midtown, and I’m super excited to join the energy that’s out there already. I think it’s going to be an exciting time.”
Westside Paper will also be a second location for Pancake Social, an all-day breakfast joint, which foresees a late spring 2022 opening. This location will be owned by Dan Jacobson, formerly of Chick-Fil-A, entrepreneur Steven Chan, and Tony Riffel, who co-found Octane Coffee. You’ll find upscale breakfast offerings, sandwiches, bowls, fresh-squeezed juice, gourmet coffees, and brunch cocktails at Pancake Social.
Glide Pizza will be slinging slices at Westside Paper, the pizzeria’s third location. Glide Pizza was started by Rob Birdsong in 2020.
Boxcar Betty’s will launch its first Atlanta location at Westside Paper. The southern dish restaurant, known for its award-winning fried chicken sandwich, fried pickles, and sweet potato fries, has locations in Charleston, Chicago, and Charlotte.
