The company, which got its start in Ashland, Oregon, in 1998 and franchised in 2002, is expected to open more Atlanta area drive-thru coffeehouses in the future. It currently has over 200 locations throughout the US.

The Human Bean’s first Georgia drive-thru will serve up classic coffee and espresso drinks, like small-batch cold brew coffee, americanos, cappuccinos, and lattes, as well as specialty drinks, including a Granita (frozen espresso), a green tea smoothie, and a Mexi Mocha (espresso and steamed milk with Mexican chocolate powder).

We understand that there’s a certain, shall we say, je ne sais quoi to any European city’s sidewalk cafes and coffee shops, but there is just something so uniquely American about a drive-thru. We’re hoping The Human Bean will combine the two, making us feel a little more like unbothered Parisians while sipping cappuccinos in highway traffic.

[Correction: a previous version of this article stated The Human Bean address as 1605 Buford Highway, Cumming, GA 30041. The correct address is 1609 Buford Highway, Cumming, GA 30041.]
