The drive-thru coffee chain is expected to open next month at 2000 Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell.

The location comes from local owner Aaron Nickelson and a longtime friend, who operate four other Georgia outposts of The Human Bean, including one in Alpharetta that opened last fall.

“We’ve got an excited team who have been training and preparing for this grand opening,” Nickelson said in a news release. “They’re ready to start sharing the energy here, and serve the friendly faces who come through our drive-thru in Roswell.”

The Human Bean was founded in 1998 with the first location in southern Oregon, followed by the first franchise location in 2003. It has since grown to more than 300 locations open or in development across the U.S.

The menu includes specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, tea, and the brand’s new energy drink called Bright Energy, available in three varieties: original, lime and sugar-free. The Human Bean is known for the signature chocolate-covered espresso beans that top the coffee drinks.

The company makes quarterly charity donations and does many smaller local initiatives. All of the money raised by the new Roswell location will stay in the community and be given to a local organization of the staff’s choosing, according to the news release.
