The Dumpling Factory will showcase Northern China Eatery’s signature dish, as well as a variety of street food delicacies and traditional entrees, like noodles, scallion pancakes and soups.

Owner Fan Zhang told What Now Atlanta that The Dumpling Factory was launched to create an easily replicated concept, with an eye on franchising in the future.

“It opens the door for everybody to be able to come franchise with us,” he said.

Northern China Eatery, where dumplings have become a must-order item, has been under Zhang’s ownership since 2012.

“We’re trying to have people try authentic Chinese dumplings, authentic Chinese food, in not only Atlanta but everybody around the country,” he said.

Zhang also told What Now Atlanta they’re looking into opening a new location of Northern China Eatery along the BeltLine.

The Dumpling Factory is expected to open at Westside Paper this June. It will cater to both dine-in and takeout customers.

Westside Paper is a repurposed 70-year-old warehouse reimagined by Westbridge and FCP.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome Fan Zhang and The Dumpling Factory to Westside Paper,” Chris Faussemagne of Westbridge said in a news release. “Their commitment to authentic, quality international cuisine aligns perfectly with our vision for a unique retail destination featuring the best local operators.”

Shelbi Bodner of Bridger Properties represented Westside Paper, and Michaela Boone of terra alma represented The Dumpling Factory.
