“We are thrilled to bring Taco Mac’s unmatched Southern hospitality, award-winning Buffalo wings, and the best craft beers on draft to the Lawrenceville community,” Harold Martin, Jr., CEO of Taco Mac, said in the release. “Lawrenceville has been on our radar for a long time, and we are excited to get to know our new neighbors over delicious food, cold beers, and exciting events.”

Taco Mac is kicking off its grand opening celebration with a ribbon-cutting, music, raffles, food samplings, and beer from local brewery partner, Slow Pour.

The new restaurant design features 32 HDTVs, a state-of-the-art audio and visual system, a large outdoor patio with 55-inch TVs, and a tap wall wrapped in red quartz. Guests can look forward to special events for Brewniversity members and Lawrenceville neighbors leading up to the opening. The new Taco Mac team also will work closely with local brewery partners for a series of beer events and special tappings within the first few weeks of opening.

To ensure the health and safety of those who work in and patronize the restaurant, the new Lawrenceville location will follow strict safety guidelines. All Taco Mac restaurants have implemented safety precautions recommended by local, state, and federal governments, as well as the C.D.C., which are designed to combat the spread of COVID-19.

“Despite the current uncertainty of COVID-19, Taco Mac is focused on building the brand long-term and is expanding in order to serve more markets in Georgia,” according to the release. Taco Mac recently signed a lease for its next location in Hiram, GA, at 5886 Wendy Bagwell Parkway Suite 101, with plans to open by the end of 2020.

  1. Glad to have enjoyed the original divey Taco Mac (Va-Hi) back in the day.
This place has about as much character as a Jiffy Lube.

    1. My partner and I used to enjoy Taco Mac but that was over 10 years ago the food and service just went downhill and kept getting worse. I know they tried to go through a corporate restructing and branding years ago and it coincided with the decline we quit going hopefully they have turned things around since then.

    2. Pre-pandemic, I had a long-term, semi-annual dinner at Taco Mac that we stuck with year after year out of tradition even as the quality became a running joke in our group. We were usually at the original but also tried midtown and Decatur. The mediocrity was remarkably consistent.
