Built from the ground up, the forthcoming City Barbeque will come complete with a covered, outdoor patio, and a drive-thru, in a space just shy of 4,000 square feet, according to construction plans for the restaurant.

City Barbeque in May announced an initiative aimed at growing its off-premise business, including with the addition of drive-thrus in its new stores. The Ohio-based restaurant chain started introducing locations with drive-thrus in 2021, resulting in a 25 percent boost to sales, CEO Mike Muldoon told Columbus Business First in June. “We’re very happy with the results. We’re going to be building these going forward.”

City Barbeque currently has 53 locations that smoke meats on site over local hickory wood and prepare homemade sides and desserts fresh every day. The growing brand operates in eight states and counting. City Barbeque is currently accepting construction bids for the Snellville location, now through mid-September, 2022.
