Sarah Donuts will grand open its North Decatur outpost Saturday, April 7, a company spokesperson Wednesday told What Now Atlanta in an email.
The shop, at 2136 North Decatur Road in the North Decatur Plaza, is the first Sarah Donuts “inside the perimeter (ITP),” and is the sixth location in total for the family-owned company.
“We knew right away that our first ITP location was going to be in [North] Decatur,” Daniel Park, senior manager for the doughnut chain, said in a prepared statement.
“[North] Decatur is charming and has that small town feel that we are accustomed to but still in the big city.”
To celebrate its grand opening on April 7, the North Decatur location will offer one dozen donuts for $1 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. There will also be giveaways including t-shirts, “donut pillows, and donut accessories.”
The Park family launched Sarah Donuts in Texas in 1983. They brought the concept to Georgia in 2004 with a location in Duluth.
