Longtime Georgia residents Gloria Lozano and Kyle Hatch make up the team behind the new location. Gloria immigrated to the U.S. from Colombia when she was 7, and Kyle grew up in Atlanta. The two met at Georgia Tech as students in 2014.

“We are excited to bring our tasty treats to the Decatur area,” the duo said in a news release. “From our signature Gelati to Soft Ice Cream and Italian ice, we have a lot to offer the frozen treat lovers in the area. We can’t wait to serve everyone.”

They will be offering “Ice Nights” at the new shop to give back to local causes, partnering with schools to provide incentives for honor roll students and offering teacher appreciation deals.

Located just a few miles from downtown Decatur, the new shop includes a large patio and a walk-up window.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice was founded in 1996 and began franchising in 2019. The brand now has more than 100 locations throughout the U.S.

  1. This is not in Sandy Springs, this is in Dunwoody. Joey D’s it’s not in perimeter place. Shops of Buckhead is 10 miles away and Lenox Square is 7 miles away and are not “close”. Can you please orient your reader to the appropriate places and things?
