Owner Damian Otero told What Now Atlanta that they will be opening a Rreal Tacos at the former Cantina Loca. They expect to be open by 2024, he said.

This will be the seventh location in metro Atlanta for Rreal Tacos. The quickly growing taco restaurant owned by Otero and Miguel Hernandez recently signed a lease in Buckhead for a space formerly occupied by Farm Burger. Rreal Tacos can also be found in Midtown, West Midtown, Chamblee, Sandy Springs and Cumming.

Rreal Tacos serves authentic Mexican street food and aims to recreate the characteristics of tacos from various regions of Mexico.

The new location at 5010 W Broad Street NE is located on the ground floor of The Local Sugar Hill luxury apartment complex.

Cantina Loca had been in Sugar Hill since 2021. The restaurant also had a location at 10 N Broad Street in Alpharetta that has since closed.
