The fast-casual restaurant, located at 3155 Cobb Parkway, serves dishes like the Great Greek Gyro as well as lamb, steak and chicken souvlaki plates that are complemented by the restaurant’s fresh Greek salads and four signature house-made dips, including hummus, tzatziki, melitzanosalata (eggplant dip) and tirokafteri (spicy roasted red pepper). The restaurant also serves customizable options like rice bowls, sides like feta fries and desserts like baklava ice cream and rice pudding.

The restaurant seats 60 guests in its 2,500-square-foot dining room and offers dine-in, catering, pick-up and delivery options.

The Cumberland-area eatery near Truist Park is owned and operated by two friends and experienced restaurant veterans, Nikunj Shah and Roshan Patel. Attracted to the area by its bustling mix of residential and commercial properties, the team is excited to open the new restaurant in a high-traffic area where people visit to dine, shop and enjoy local sporting events.

“We’re proud to be the first franchise owners to bring The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill’s healthy, fresh menu to this community,” Patel said in a press release. “The restaurant is in a convenient location for us to serve shoppers, sports fans and other event attendees, and we look forward to helping them fuel up for their active lives.”

The restaurant is part of the United Franchise Group (UFG) family of affiliated brands and consultants and managed within UFG’s Starpoint Brands.

“This is an exciting time in the growth of our brand as we are welcomed by a whole new market of health-conscious diners attracted to our innovative, fast-casual approach,” said Bob Andersen, president of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. “We’re delighted to see our first Georgia franchise under the management of such a passionate, devoted team.”

The Cumberland location of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
