The development will be constructed at 580 Peachtree Parkway in Cumming. The site is across from South Forsyth High School.

The team behind the project is Riverwood Properties, an Atlanta-based company that specializes in commercial real estate development, construction, leasing and management in the Southeast. Their properties typically include a mix of national, local and “mom and pop” retail and restaurant tenants. Riverwood Properties has developed many retail centers across metro Atlanta, including in Alpharetta, Marietta, McDonough, Austell and Decatur.

The proposed site at 580 Peachtree Parkway is 10,280 square feet, with plans for six tenant spaces. There will be a drive-thru at the property.

National tenants are lined up for both end caps, with Handels currently listed as one of them. A Riverwood Properties leasing manager couldn’t be immediately reached for information about the other national tenant. Four tenant spaces, at about 1,600 square feet each, are still available.

Construction bids on the project will be accepted through Nov. 9, 2023.
