Atlanta catering and events company Proof of the Pudding has signed a long-term lease for a 10,000-square-foot event venue on the top floor of 8West, a 200,000-square-foot office and mixed-use project in West Midtown.

The new venue will be available for corporate events, weddings and social gatherings, with a capacity of approximately 260 people seated and 350 reception-style.

“This space is one of a kind with cascading views of our great city,” Proof of the Pudding CEO Adam Noyes said. “8West’s industrial styling and spectacular skyline views from the ballroom, terrace or rooftop are the perfect backdrop for a defining first impression and lasting memory.”

8West is located at 889 Howell Road NW, at the intersection of Eighth Street and Georgia Tech’s campus.

Lee Cardwell of MCM Realty Partners and Andrew Walker and Lauren Holmes of Colliers represented Proof of the Pudding in the lease. Transwestern’s Stephen Clifton and Zach Wooten represented 8West.

“Locally headquartered and nationally recognized Proof of the Pudding is the perfect partner to provide a world-class amenity for our current and future tenants and ensure those visiting 8West return again and again,” The Atlantic Companies managing partner Mack Reese said.

The new event space is set to open its doors by early fall 2024.

The venue is part of Proof of the Pudding’s growing portfolio of upcoming event spaces. In February, the company signed a lease to open a 13,000-square-foot venue on the first floor of Westside Paper in West Midtown.

Proof of the Pudding was founded in Atlanta in 1979 and now operates in more than 18 states.
