$150 MM Mixed-Use 8West Moving Forward on Westside, New Renderings Unveiled

Key permitting is underway for the office, retail and residential project.

Gateway Ventures is moving forward with plans to develop 8West at the corner of Howell Mill Road and 8th Street.

Permits were recently filed with the City of Atlanta to construct the “core and shell” of the nine-story office building at the center of the $150 MM project.

Expected to be delivered in spring 2020, 8West will feature 175,000 square feet of office, 10,000 square feet of retail, and 264 apartments developed by Trammell Crow Residential, at 887 Howell Mill Road NW.

The project’s loft office building will contain multiple outdoor terraces, “360-degree views of the city,” a fitness facility, bike storage and repair, common collaborative spaces and conference facilities, an outdoor public plaza and podcast rooms.

Unlike the forthcoming 903 Peachtree development in Midtown, 8West will be integrated into existing single-story buildings at the site as to not affect established tenants.

Those restaurants and retailers include Bocado, Bartaco, Arden’s GardenA Ma Maniere, and Hathaway Gallery.
