The experiential plant store will take root in a 4,400 SF retail space with a 1,000 SF mezzanine in the Star Metals Offices Building, a newly built flexible office development. Star Metals Offices is located at 1055 Howell Mill Road in West Midtown, just north of 11th Street NW.

As reported by What Now Atlanta, the building just received its Certificate of Occupancy at the beginning of July, and plans to be fully operational by the end of 2021. The building was developed by The Allen Morris Company and is part of the company’s $344 million, 4.75-acre Star Metals District project in West Midtown

In a press release, PlantHouse describes itself as a “place where all generations can find a common ground with their love of plants.” The store will host DIY workshops where guests can create their own terrarium while being served drinks from the in-store bar that are paired with the guest’s plants choices. PlantHouse was started in Charlotte, North Carolina 2018 by the Ryan Family and has 6 other locations in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

Allen Marris, the Chairman and CEO of The Allen Morris Company, commented that “we are thrilled to have PlantHouse at Star Metals Offices… the modern office space and residence should incorporate natural greenery and wellness in their design.” Bailey Ryan, CEO of PlantHouse added that “[Star Metals Offices] is the perfect destination to offer people that live, work and play in the area new kinds of modern-day experiential activities.”
