The multiphase project at 1060 Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway would include about 1,600 residential units, as well as 700,000 square feet of office or retail space, Atlanta Business Chronicle first reported.

Some of the residential units will be designated as affordable housing, including reserving 5 percent of the units for people making 30 percent AMI (area median income), according to the news outlet. The first phase of the project could begin as early as next year.

The site for the BeltLine-adjacent project is located in Bankhead, a neighborhood northwest of Downtown Atlanta. The development would be near the Bankhead MARTA station.

Real estate firm Allen Morris Company acquired the parcel from Tenth Street Ventures in 2022. At the time, a spokesperson told What Now Atlanta that “a mixed-use, live, work, play concept” was planned for the site.

Allen Morris Company is the team behind the multiphase Star Metals District in West Midtown, which includes offices and luxury residential space. An urban park featuring pickleball courts, a dog park and food-and-beverage options is also proposed for the area.

The firm’s Atlanta portfolio also includes the Bryn House apartment complex in North Druid Hills and the Kimpton Shane Hotel in Midtown.
