Food and nightlife concept plans to open flagship location in late October.
Sweet Auburn is getting some top shelf entertainment in the form of a fast food and nightlife lounge combination.
Owner DaSean Coads will open the first Uptop Atlanta Cafe and Lounge at 339 Edgewood Avenue NE in the Sweet Auburn neighborhood.
“With the re-gentrification of the area and the trolley car right there on Edgewood, we feel like this is the best area in the city,” Coads told What Now Atlanta (WNA) in a telephone conversation this week.
The concept will feature a restaurant on one side, a bar on the other, and take out and delivery in the middle of a U-shaped layout. Coads also hopes to expand with Uptop Charlotte and Uptop Miami in the near future.
“We want this to be the flagship location,” Coads explained. “It’s fast food style of New York with an Atlanta twist that could also be franchised in other cities.”
The Sweet Auburn location plans to open its doors in late October.
