Atlantis Hydroponics is moving to 1409 Howell Mill Road in a space formerly occupied by Iron Tribe Fitness. They hope to be fully moved into the space by the end of June, owner Derrick Dahl told What Now Atlanta.

About a year ago, Dahl became the owner of the business that first opened in 1998. A big reason for the relocation is increased visibility, he said.

“It will be a lot more visible, with a huge sign. You’ll be able to see it from way down the street.”

The existing location of Atlantis Hydroponics can be found at 1422 Woodmont Lane in West Midtown, near The Works. It will remain open for now, with plans to close when the new store is ready to opens its doors.

Hydroponics refers to the technique of growing plants without soil, often allowing plants to grow faster and more numerously. In addition to selling supplies, nutrients and equipment, Atlantis Hydroponics offers classes on a variety of topics.
