Luigi Tartaglione, the restaurateur behind area concepts such as Italia Mediterranean Grill and Mezza Luna, recently acquired Italian restaurant ZuZZu, located at 42 Oak St Suite B in Roswell, according to Steve Josovitz of the Shumacher Group who represented the seller in the transaction while guiding all parties to a successful closing.

ZuZZu resides in a 1,200-square-foot building with seating for 50 and prides itself on offering fine Italian dining in a relaxed atmosphere, with a focus on traditional Sicilian flavors.
The menu features a reliable slate of old country comfort classics such as Cavatelli Alla Bolognese, Lasagna, Eggplant Parmigiana, and Burrata Caprese.
However, Tartaglione tells What Now Atlanta that while he plans on keeping the ZuZZu name and brand intact, he will be making a few changes to the menu and its recipes.
“I’ll keep some things the same, plus put some of my style – my Rome traditional food,” says Tartaglione. “I’ll change the recipe for tiramisu because it’s more authentic, more classic. And I want to introduce two or three classic Rome dishes.”
This isn’t the first time that Tartaglione took the reigns of an existing business, as he and business partner Tony Strangolagalli assumed control of Mezza Luna a number of years ago.
What’s more, ZuZZU is a literal fan favorite, having been awarded a 2023 Diner’s Choice award from OpenTable just two short weeks ago.
