“Building #4” of Bridges at Landrum is in the works at 2944 Landrum Dr SW, according to a recent building permit application with the City of Atlanta.
The three-story residential building, one of nine planned for the community, will include 24 units. The structure will include two- and three-bedroom units.
Other buildings in the community will include one-bedroom options as well. A pool and clubhouse are also planned for the community, according to the plans.
Current listings for the community on Apartments.com show rents ranging from $1,053 and $1,605.
Kentucky-based multifamily developer LDG Development is the team behind Bridges at Landrum. The project is slated to bring a total of about 200 residential units to the area, with most of the units reserved for families earning up to 60 percent of the area median income (AMI).
LDG Development is the developer of several other completed and in-progress projects in Georgia, including Union Landing in Union City, Peach Orchard in Augusta and Phoenix Station in Decatur. LDG Development has also developed projects in Kentucky, Tennessee, Texas, Louisiana, Indiana, Virginia and Kansas.
Studio A is the architecture firm behind Bridges at Landrum, while Rickhaus Design is listed as the design architect. Like LDG Development, both companies are based in Louisville.

I personally oppose this development. Smyrna is already changing with new apartment buildings rising everywhere. In the ten years we’ve lived here, traffic has intensified. The location of this proposed development is already congested at certain times of the day due to its proximity to the I-285 exchange.
