Nova River District is set to bring 250 one- and two-bedroom residential units with approximately 14,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space to the city, Atlanta Business Chronicle first reported. Restaurants and “wellness-driven amenities” are eyed for the commercial spaces.

Two existing buildings at the property will be redeveloped into additional retail space.

The developer behind Nova River District is CCI Real Estate, a real estate investment and development firm based in Suwanee and founded by Jeff Warwick. Real estate development and commercial construction company True North Companies is working on the project along the Oostanaula River.

It was recently announced that Pinnacle Financial Partners and CommerceOne Bank closed a $37 million construction loan for Nova River District.

A crane was recently installed at the site. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for April, Rome News-Tribune reports.

Rome is located in Floyd County, northwest of Atlanta.
