Construction on the The Hawkins is underway now, Urbanize Atlanta reports. The building will consist of 192 apartments and about 15,000 square feet of commercial and coworking space, according to the news outlet. The apartments will range from one to three bedrooms, and planned amenities include a fitness center, pool, dog park and rooftop lounge.

Heath Hans, partner at FIDES Development, told What Now Atlanta the project is expected to be complete by the end of summer 2025.

FIDES Development and Atlas Real Estate Partners are developing the project. Atlas is a multifamily-focused private investment and development firm with headquarters in New York City and Miami. Atlanta-based FIDES Development is the team behind another DeKalb County project: the Brookhaven City Centre, which broke ground last fall.

Nelson Worldwide is designing The Hawkins.
