The three-unit agreement welcomes Phillip Jones, a multi-brand franchisee and longtime Georgia resident, to the brand. His first location is set to open this year in Hapeville, although Jones has not yet secured a lease, a Salata spokesperson told What Now Atlanta in an email Monday.

“Phillip is actively seeking real estate for the stores which are planned to open at some point this year surrounding his recent multi-unit signed agreement,” the spokesperson said.

Houston-based Salata offers built-to-order salads — with more than 50 toppings available on the menu, including fruits, vegetables and proteins prepared in-house daily and house-made salad dressings — and wraps alongside soups, teas, and lemonades.

“I’ve been a huge fan of Salata for some time now and knew the Hapeville community would benefit from the brand’s healthier food options,” Jones, who also owns multiple Smoothie King and Marcos Pizza locations, said in the release. “Salata not only presents an opportunity to further diversify my portfolio, but also enhance the dining options in Hapeville. When looking for my next business venture, Salata was an easy choice given the brand’s recent growth and the commitment it places on franchisee satisfaction and innovation. Not to mention, the support provided by the entire Home Office team has been top notch. I’m eager to open my first location this year.”

Salata has been growing rapidly across the nation on its road to 100 locations, with a “special focus” on the southern states. The brand is quickly establishing a presence in Georgia, with ten locations already open. With this expansion into Hapeville, Salata is eyeing additional growth throughout the Peach State.

“It’s always exciting to see esteemed multi-brand operators like Phillip show interest in our growing concept,” Michelle Maerz, President of Salata, said. “Phillip’s ties to the community and his proven track record as a business owner make him the perfect candidate to be a Salata franchisee. We are excited to see Phillip lead the charge for our additional growth in Georgia.”
