Lucky Star is the latest project established by restaurateur Jason Liang, who also opened Brush Sushi, Cuddlefish, Momonoki, and Momo Cafe.

Liang and restaurateur and co-owner John Chen signed a lease in March for the space in the lobby of Stars Metals Offices at 1055 Howell Mill Road. The new restaurant will open in January or February 2024, according to Atlanta Magazine.

Chen confirmed the news with What Now Atlanta Monday but was not immediately available to comment.

The new restaurant will include a space dedicated to serving designed cocktails. Additionally, Liang’s wife Ching Yao Wang, who is also part of the Luck Star partnership, will be making pastries such as flavored croissants and crepe cakes that would be served with coffee and matcha drinks.

Lucky Star will also serve street snacks such as popcorn chicken, sweet potato fries, and Taiwanese fried chicken sandwiches.

“Expect foods that are easy to eat and go well with drinks,” Liang said of his new restaurant, according to Atlanta Magazine.
