NYC-based menswear brand Todd Patrick is coming to Atlanta with its first-ever brick-and-mortar shop, according to a press release this week. Buckhead Village will welcome the clothier in March, at 3008 Bolling Way NE.
Founded by designer Desyree (Des) Nicole and operated by Gabriella Paulino, the new storefront will feature vintage-inspired, ready-to-wear collections, plus bespoke and “exclusive” pieces only available for purchase at Buckhead Village.
A former Division I basketball player, Des moved to New York City to pursue fashion after college. She soon began styling NFL players and discovered a gap in the menswear market for “cool, luxury styles” in bigger and custom sizes, and thus, Todd Patrick was born.
“I hope that Michigan always bleeds through when the brand speaks, no matter where I travel,” Nicole said in the release. “This is for everyone that truly got it out the mud and to the little girl that grew up in Waterford Meadows. Sometimes you have to create a table instead of waiting for a seat.”
Named for Des’s brother, Todd Patrick launched in 2016. The store will feature a “modern, clean interior with vintage touches throughout, paying homage to the brand’s ethos of collecting timeless inspiration from the past and applying a modern twist.”
Shoppers will be able to browse ready-to-wear items including the brand’s latest collection “Rolling Sunsets” which will launch in conjunction with the March opening. “Inspired by Detroit, the new line adds vibrant colors, textures, and bold patterns to Todd Patrick staples, including relaxed knitwear, silk tops and cropped jackets, to achieve a laid-back vibe,” according to the release. Everyday essentials like heavyweight t-shirts, lounge pants and joggers round out the collection.
