The development, which is taking over a former parking lot across from Center Parc Stadium, was first announced in 2021, when What Now Atlanta reported that Publix grocery store had filed commercial building permits for the site. Though still under construction, the development is slated to offer a variety of service-oriented tenants including banks, healthcare providers, fast-casual restaurants, and fitness studios.

The new Summerhill location will mark the brand’s ninth for the greater Atlanta region, joining outposts that currently operate from Sandy Springs to Cumberland and Chamblee to Peachtree.

Founded by long-time friends Ike Grigoropoulos, Ted Xenohristos, and Head Chef Dimitri Moshovitis, Cava prides itself on showcasing “the Mediterranean way of life, where food is at the center of culture and connection.”

To help bring that vision to life, the team – along with co-founder Brett Schulman – devised a menu of staples from the old country such as the Spicy Lamb Meatball Pita, Greek Chicken Pita, and Crispy Falafel Pita, as well as a range of bowls including the Balsamic Date Chicken, Lentil Avocado, and Tahini Caesar.

A representative of Cava did not immediately return a request for comment.
